"Right. Without giving one bloody ounce of concern about how you were doing. He manipulated you, Marc." And he's glad he's gone and away from them, that they don't need him or his power anymore... even if he's always a bit worried about how Marc really feels about it.

Or if he'd go back the first chance he got.

"That's not how that works, is it?" He wants to tell Marc he's being selfish. He's being-- he doesn't know. He should be grateful, and he is, in a way, that Marc's protected him. But he'd have liked to protect Marc in return.
